Timber in the City 2013 Competition

This project was completed by a team of 2 people, and submitted to the Timber in the City Design Competition.

The goal of the competition was to create an urban intervention that would actively rehabilitate the Red Hook neighborhood of Brooklyn after it was destroyed in Hurricane Sandy.

Our project sought to move existing infrastructure onto a new timber frame, preserving the existing charm of the area, while safely removing it from the flood plain.
